LAPP Finland units have achieved a significant milestone by receiving the international ISO 45001 occupational health and safety certification.

LAPP Automaatio, which began the EPIC® SENSORS temperature sensors production in 1995, has recently made a significant investment in calibration services. 

Lapp Automation is the leading temperature measurement specialist in Finland. In many industrial sectors and at various process stages, it is important to know the exact temperatures. Lapp Automation has now added a new temperature sensor to its product range.

In September 2022, Ex i certification was granted for EPIC^® SENSORS temperature sensors. Ex i certified temperature sensors can be used in explosive environments. Uncertified sensors can also be used in Ex i circuits, but the use of certified sensors is much clearer and safer.

LAPP Group organizes an international employee event in Helsinki at Bolt Arena from 30 June to 2 July 2023. The football tournament will be held this summer for the 26th time and the volleyball tournament for the 21st time. The tournament had a three-year break due to the Corona pandemic, and it is organized in Finland for the first time.

Krister Karlsson will leave as MD of Lapp Automatio, after 10 years in the company. Jyri Kontio, MD Lapp Connecto, will succeed him in his responsibilities as Vice President Cluster Nordic, MD LAPP Miltronic Sweden and Denmark and MD Lapp Automaatio in Finland.

LAPP Group is known for its sustainability. The Finnish LAPP companies wanted to contribute to society by growing their own, LAPP ikimetsä - primeval forest, in the municipality of Ylitornio, Finnish Lapland. SunSilva Oy was selected as a partner. SunSilva Oy is a family business operating from Taivalkoski, whose business is the production of nature works of various sizes. The forest cultivation will begin in the seummer of 2023.
